TYNEDALE RFC LAUNCHES NEW MEMBERSHIP STRATEGY FOR 2026/27
More value, greater support and a simpler way to stay connected with the club.
As Tynedale RFC enters its historic 150th season, we are introducing a new membership structure for 2026/27.
The new strategy has been designed to make joining the club simpler, recognise the different ways people contribute to Tynedale and provide considerably more value to players, parents and supporters.
Membership income remains essential. It helps us maintain our pitches and facilities, provide rugby across every section of the club and invest in Tynedale’s future.
However, membership should work in both directions.
Those who invest in Tynedale RFC should receive meaningful value in return — both at the club and throughout the wider community.
JOIN TYNEDALE THROUGH CLUBZAP
Membership is now available through our new ClubZap platform.
ClubZap will make it easier to join, manage payments, receive club communications, book events and stay connected with Tynedale throughout the season.

MORE RUGBY INCLUDED

Your physical membership card will act as your season ticket.
With the Raiders now competing within the RFU league structure, members will have even more competitive rugby to enjoy at Tynedale Park throughout the season.
RECOGNISING THE WHOLE FAMILY
Rugby is rarely a commitment made by the player alone.
Parents provide the lifts, encouragement, time and financial support that allow children to take part. For 2026/27, parents registering a child for Micro or Minis & Youth Membership will receive Tynedale RFC membership benefits at no additional cost.
This includes their own membership card, season-ticket access and Membership Partner benefits.
These family membership rights do not include voting rights. Parents who wish to become full voting members of the club can take out their own Supporter Membership.
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS
We know the cost can quickly add up when more than one person from the same family is involved.
The following family discounts will therefore apply:
- Additional Senior Playing or Supporter Membership: £100
- Second and subsequent Minis & Youth Membership: £100
- Second and subsequent £80 Membership: £60
The principle is simple: the more of your family involved at Tynedale, the more we should recognise that commitment.

THE TYNEDALE RFC COMMUNITY FUND
Nobody should be forced to step away from rugby because their circumstances have changed.
An anonymous club partner has committed £6,800 over the next two seasons to establish the Tynedale RFC Community Fund.
The fund can provide discreet support towards:
- Membership fees
- Essential playing kit
- Rugby-related meals not already included
It is available across every section of the club.
When difficult times arise, the routine, friendship and sense of belonging provided by a rugby club can become even more important. Tynedale should be somewhere people move towards, not somewhere they are forced to leave.
All enquiries will be handled with respect, sensitivity and complete discretion.
Senior players should contact Ian Hiles, while Mini and Youth families should contact Keeley Wilkie-Smith.
SUPPORTING THE CLUB IN DIFFERENT WAYS
Fundraising and volunteering remain central to Tynedale RFC, but we recognise that people support the club in different ways.
Members and families will have the option to add a £50 Club Support Contribution when joining.
This provides an alternative for those who do not wish, or are unable, to participate in general club fundraising and club-wide volunteering activities such as festivals, tournaments and clean-up days.
It does not replace team-specific duties, tours or responsibilities directly connected to rugby.
Some people give their time. Some raise funds. Others prefer to contribute directly. All play a part.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP AND RFU REGISTRATION
Players should be aware that Tynedale RFC Membership and registration with the England RFU are separate.
- ClubZap is used for Tynedale RFC Membership.
- RFU GMS is used for player registration and eligibility.
Adult players must ensure their RFU registration is renewed for the new season. Parents and guardians must also complete or renew the registration of Age Grade players.
Members purchasing a playing membership will receive a follow-up reminder, with guidance also available through ClubZap and the club website.

The new membership strategy reflects the club Tynedale has always been — built around its players, parents, supporters, coaches, volunteers and wider community.
It also reflects where we want to go next.

Your membership doesn’t stop at the clubhouse door. It travels with you throughout the year.
